Rates
The following rates are for individuals requesting to use the Cal Poly Materials Engineering Department instruments and facilities. The internal rates are for Cal Poly faculty, staff, and students working on Cal Poly grants. Charges may be negotiated or waived for Cal Poly classes and outreach programs. The external rates are for individuals outside of Cal Poly. A minimum of 1 hour will be charged, and time for set up and calibration will be included.

Training
Training to become certified for working in the clean room is available on a weekly basis and is provided by the Micro Systems Technology student club free of charge (approximately 2 hrs). Technical assistance for operating all equipment in the Microfab Lab is provided by students from the MST club at a rate of $15/hr (added to lab usage fees). General Microfab Lab usage includes all clean room garments, DI water, gases and chemicals and supplies associated with the equipment listed on the MST website.
